Guide · Where to stay

Madrid’s best hotels,
independently ranked.

Thirteen hotels hold a MICHELIN Key. Here is each one, and who it suits.

The short answer

The MICHELIN Guide’s hotel distinction, the Key, is the clearest independent ranking of Madrid’s hotels. Thirteen Madrid hotels hold one: the Mandarin Oriental Ritz with three Keys, the Four Seasons and Rosewood Villa Magna with two, and ten with one.

Three Keys

Mandarin Oriental Ritz · A Belle Époque landmark beside the Prado, home to the two-star Deessa. The grandest address in the city.

Two Keys

Four Seasons Hotel Madrid · In the Canalejas complex, steps from Puerta del Sol, above Galería Canalejas and its boutiques.

Rosewood Villa Magna · On the Castellana in the Salamanca district, a short walk from the Golden Mile.

Choosing between them

For the museums and old Madrid, the Ritz, The Palace or the Letras palaces. For shopping and a quieter, residential feel, Villa Magna, Único or Santo Mauro. For everything on foot from Sol, the Four Seasons. For a large family or a longer stay, a private house or apartment often beats any suite: we prepare one before you land.
